THIS COUPLE

Hello, It has been a long time huh? I have been super busy finishing my last semester of Masters here in Mysuru. I can't wait to go back to my Bengaluru. A lot has happened over the past year and a half. After coming out of my house, I saw and experienced so many things, which were very crucial to me. I am proud to say that I have come a long way.. This time, I want to talk about this couple I know. I won't tell you who they are, but I will tell their story. I know that it is not my place to say it, but I want to do it as a form of gratitude. I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful I am for them. If not for them, it would have been so hard to live in Mysuru. They've taken care of me when I was sick, they've fed me warm and delicious food, they've silently wrapped me with love and I am so grateful for them. So, there's this couple. All they have is each other. They spend their days idly, reading and watching television, attending ceremonies and f...

I LOST MY PHONE

Disclaimer - I am writing about Android phones. I have no idea about iPhone, except that it also has 'Find my iPhone' app in it. So what do you do when you lose your phone? If this is your first time losing it, then you better hurry. AND it will really help if you've turned on the location and internet in your phone. Trust me. It will be worth it. If you have not, then please say goodbye to your phone. I'm sorry for your loss. By sheer luck (I don't know what else to call it) if you have turned on the location and the internet, then  - 1. Borrow your friend's phone and install the app 'Find My Device' from Play Store. 2. Sign in as a guest by entering your email address. The app will locate your phone. 3. If you have just misplaced it or dropped it nearby, you can hurry and reach your device. But, if someone has stolen it (yes, there are people who still steal mobile phones. It is 2018 and apparently this has nothing to do with people...

My Dear INFINITE

Hello. It has been long. I am still writing about my trip so that I can post my experiences. I will definitely post them so please wait for it a bit more. But, this is necessary. For me. For some of my closest friends. This post is dedicated to 'INFINITE' and my 'INSPIRIT' friends. I started this morning with a negative thought. I started it by procrastinating. I was supposed to enter a competition and I had not even prepared. Haha I am rambling nonsense. But then, I saw a news statement which shocked me. And I didn't realize the magnitude of it until now. By now, most of you who know me definitely know that I love a k-pop band called 'Infinite' with all my heart. I've even mentioned them so many times in my posts. I came across this band when I was randomly seeing K-pop music videos. I really liked their music and I looked them up. And gradually I came to love them. I found out that they are genuine, they are happy, cheerful people who have...

Life Update.

Helloo, It has been three months (for those who were waiting) since I last blogged. It is not an excuse, but I was actually busy. Masters is no cake walk, I tell you. Especially in Mysuru, where more than studies, there's an insane amount of pressure on your mind, from the people. So, this will be a short post to tell you all what I've been doing the past three months. Really though, I did nothing. Last minute record corrections, tests and assignments, completing my dissertation, and then exams. After which there was the much awaited practical exams and seminar for the dissertation. It was okay. (nobody will believe me if I say that so eff it, but I know how I've done my exams.) After an intense two month struggle, I had a whole month of vacation, during which I went to the United States. Screams woohoooo and wakes the sleeping dogs. Oops they've started howling. lol. The hazy San Francisco skyline with the Golden Gate Bridge. I will tell you the ...

My Journey with Journals

Ha ha that rhymes. My obsession with planners and journalling began during my ninth grade when I came across this book called ‘Get Organised without Losing It’ by Janet S. Fox. It was like a bible (or Bhagavad-Gita you can say) to the little me who wanted to be organised and practical. It is an amazing book that I would recommend to any parent who has a child of 10-12 years of age. (Or a high-schooler. Anything works) In the book, she gives tips to become organised in your school life so that you don’t miss anything and form a habit of completing tasks. She talks about using planners which will help you to (duh) plan your day, week and month and maybe an entire year. That was it. I was completely obsessed with planners and searched every shop I could, for a planner that would suit me. The planner that I had in mind. But, sad to say that there is no such thing here. There are diaries, heavy heavy diaries with no weekly layouts but daily pages which are too short to journal ...

4 Lessons of Life

Helloooooooo, It's been long! I know, I know I say I will post frequently and I always do this. The past month has been a hard one. I have been having many ups and downs and what not. I mean, what's new huh? So, I wanted to talk about lessons..... There are certain lessons life teaches you again and again and again. It just doesn't back down until these lessons are ingrained into your bones. Life's like that, you know. Doesn't back down and does not give two shits. So here they are - 1.) Punctuality - This one has slapped me in the face - I don't know how many times! And it's still at it. Being on time is something I have been learning the hard way. I know it is such an important thing. I know what it is like to keep people waiting, because I have been there too. But, sometimes shit happens and I do get late. I try my best but..... and that is when it stings. A voice inside starts its daily dose of criticism, saying - aha! you've done ...

Book Review: AVENGER.

Avenger - To inflict punishment or penalty in return for; to take vengeance on behalf of. Helloooooo, How are you today?? Good? Happy? Feeling positive? No? Then, go drink some positivityyy.....Kidding, please read this post till the end. Sooo, I am here today to give a book review! *self-applauds* Yes, yes thank you! If you know me, you surely must know that I love books. They are my Bae. My friends are always on stand-by whenever we are near a book store. They are ready to pull me away because I will not leave that spot and stop staring at the books. (Which is not wrong but I’ll be wasting their time too) It is my dream to have my own library. Anyway, the book I am reviewing is called “Avenger” by Frederick Forsyth. It is not in any way related to the Avengers movie, so get that thought out of your head. It is infinite times better than that. (Also, I really really wanted this book to be the first one I review in my book-review list.) *sig...
