Expectations

Hellooo,

We did blood typing in our college today! It's where you find out which blood type you are. If I had waited till  now, I could've saved 500 bucks, since I paid that much to find out my blood group.... Or was it 50??? I don't remember....
Anyway, it is like I got it double checked! :D Because some of my classmates did not get the blood group which they had got in their report....So yayyy...

So.... I was thinking about how we expect certain things. You know, as people, we think something will happen this way or this person will behave this way and all that... But, almost all the time none of them are right... And when this happens to me, it's very frustrating!

Everybody has expectations. I think it is human nature to expect something. It is built-in. I have no idea whether other animals have this (lol), but I think we all do, don't we?

And this expecting, is what we should try to control. Yes, it hurts when your parents don't bring your favorite food or toy (and they would've already told you that they will bring it....what a bummer) or when you really expect something from a friend and they don't even bother about it... Such situations frustrate us and we react to it in different ways.. If you don't get me, think of a situation where you felt angry or really sad .. Most of the time, it will be because you 'expected' a certain outcome/result and what you got was completely different from it.

What we really need to do is ask ourselves - why am I feeling sad? Or angry?, think on the feeling and express it in a calm manner. There is nothing wrong in expecting, but when you don't get the result you want, you also need to be prepared to face that situation too. Just by blasting off and throwing a tantrum (being an over-grown baby) and spoiling everybody else's moods, you definitely will not get what you expected. It will be much worse... *laugh*

ONLY we humans have this incredible ability to communicate but we still don't know how to use this wonderful ability properly!

And this is one of the main reasons why I hate texting and having long conversations via texting.(conditions apply: when I can't meet the person, I don't have any choice but to text though that's another matter in itself). I mean, dude! you can't see my expressions, you can't know how I'm talking, how can you understand what I am trying to tell you?
For example, this word "right".

Right.
Right.
Riiiiight...

Now, you can't know how I read these words and what I am trying to convey through them. Unless I add *sarcastically* next to the third right, everybody will read it as right, and half of the people I know don't even know what sarcastic means...
Riiiiiight.... *lol* Again, proves my point....

oops, I ended up somewhere else..
Hope you all had a great day!!

Lots of Love
Stay Healthy, Stay Happy.
PG.

2018 IN REVIEW

Helloooo, New Year, New Day, Same old me. lol It's been one month already. Guess some things never change. 😂😂 (Nah. Not gonna say that.) So, I hope you all have been having a wonderful start to the new year. I did have an amazing start. Got to spend some time with my brother at California and then it snowed in Boston! Classes started! And it's already February. I'm sorry, what!? *looks around* Arey! Somebody break this stupid time! so that it'll go slow!! Dragging myself back to the point, it's time for a review of 2018. You see, I tried writing it down but that never happened. Some things just flow when you're on a blogging page. (says this dumbass) Twenty Eighteen. The year of so many events. It taught me many things, even till the end of December 31st. The year of learning. Of utter bitterness and overwhelming feelings. The year of changes. It was totally opposite than 'consistency' which was my word of the year. But it's okay. I...

The most important lesson that needs to be taught in schools

Photo by Andy Montes de Oca on Unsplash As someone who enjoys anime and manga, I had never watched Naruto, until recently. I remember watching the show's ads when I was a kid and I'd heard about the show, but I never watched it partly because it's long and they have prolonged it by including many repeated scenes. Due to the lockdown, I had the time I needed and so, I watched the show. In simple terms, Naruto revolves around the story of a boy (named Naruto) in a small village who is shunned by everyone because he harbors a beast inside him. The story starts off small and gets interesting later where the plot expands (obviously). It's a story where villains have more fans than heroes and every character has something to teach you. What I love most about Naruto — the series and the boy himself— is his unwavering belief in himself. While the author tries to paint him as a stupid kid who is stubborn, I feel that Naruto has one of the most important traits that so many kids...

PACKING LIST FOR MOVING TO ANOTHER COUNTRY

Hello! Now that everything is finalized, I can say without hesitation that I'll be moving to Boston this month, to pursue my Masters' in Science Journalism! Background: *screams* woohooooo Therefore, I started writing a list of the things I would have to take. I researched and found no proper packing list which was suitable for students (especially) who are moving to another country. And then it flashed - what if I make a packing list and put it in my blog? *pats self* So, here it is! I wracked my brain and wrote this list which includes stuff for both men and women (mostly women, I must say). Feel free to download it or take a printout and check off the things you have taken. Hope it helps! A couple of things before I sign off - 1) I am a stationery freak, so I included that section. Please ignore it if you don't intend to take any. But I must say that it is better to take the basic stuff, because stationery will obviously be expensive where you're...
