Expectations

Hellooo,

We did blood typing in our college today! It's where you find out which blood type you are. If I had waited till  now, I could've saved 500 bucks, since I paid that much to find out my blood group.... Or was it 50??? I don't remember....
Anyway, it is like I got it double checked! :D Because some of my classmates did not get the blood group which they had got in their report....So yayyy...

So.... I was thinking about how we expect certain things. You know, as people, we think something will happen this way or this person will behave this way and all that... But, almost all the time none of them are right... And when this happens to me, it's very frustrating!

Everybody has expectations. I think it is human nature to expect something. It is built-in. I have no idea whether other animals have this (lol), but I think we all do, don't we?

And this expecting, is what we should try to control. Yes, it hurts when your parents don't bring your favorite food or toy (and they would've already told you that they will bring it....what a bummer) or when you really expect something from a friend and they don't even bother about it... Such situations frustrate us and we react to it in different ways.. If you don't get me, think of a situation where you felt angry or really sad .. Most of the time, it will be because you 'expected' a certain outcome/result and what you got was completely different from it.

What we really need to do is ask ourselves - why am I feeling sad? Or angry?, think on the feeling and express it in a calm manner. There is nothing wrong in expecting, but when you don't get the result you want, you also need to be prepared to face that situation too. Just by blasting off and throwing a tantrum (being an over-grown baby) and spoiling everybody else's moods, you definitely will not get what you expected. It will be much worse... *laugh*

ONLY we humans have this incredible ability to communicate but we still don't know how to use this wonderful ability properly!

And this is one of the main reasons why I hate texting and having long conversations via texting.(conditions apply: when I can't meet the person, I don't have any choice but to text though that's another matter in itself). I mean, dude! you can't see my expressions, you can't know how I'm talking, how can you understand what I am trying to tell you?
For example, this word "right".

Right.
Right.
Riiiiight...

Now, you can't know how I read these words and what I am trying to convey through them. Unless I add *sarcastically* next to the third right, everybody will read it as right, and half of the people I know don't even know what sarcastic means...
Riiiiiight.... *lol* Again, proves my point....

oops, I ended up somewhere else..
Hope you all had a great day!!

Lots of Love
Stay Healthy, Stay Happy.
PG.

My Dear INFINITE

Hello. It has been long. I am still writing about my trip so that I can post my experiences. I will definitely post them so please wait for it a bit more. But, this is necessary. For me. For some of my closest friends. This post is dedicated to 'INFINITE' and my 'INSPIRIT' friends. I started this morning with a negative thought. I started it by procrastinating. I was supposed to enter a competition and I had not even prepared. Haha I am rambling nonsense. But then, I saw a news statement which shocked me. And I didn't realize the magnitude of it until now. By now, most of you who know me definitely know that I love a k-pop band called 'Infinite' with all my heart. I've even mentioned them so many times in my posts. I came across this band when I was randomly seeing K-pop music videos. I really liked their music and I looked them up. And gradually I came to love them. I found out that they are genuine, they are happy, cheerful people who have...

I LOST MY PHONE

Disclaimer - I am writing about Android phones. I have no idea about iPhone, except that it also has 'Find my iPhone' app in it. So what do you do when you lose your phone? If this is your first time losing it, then you better hurry. AND it will really help if you've turned on the location and internet in your phone. Trust me. It will be worth it. If you have not, then please say goodbye to your phone. I'm sorry for your loss. By sheer luck (I don't know what else to call it) if you have turned on the location and the internet, then  - 1. Borrow your friend's phone and install the app 'Find My Device' from Play Store. 2. Sign in as a guest by entering your email address. The app will locate your phone. 3. If you have just misplaced it or dropped it nearby, you can hurry and reach your device. But, if someone has stolen it (yes, there are people who still steal mobile phones. It is 2018 and apparently this has nothing to do with people...

PACKING LIST FOR MOVING TO ANOTHER COUNTRY

Hello! Now that everything is finalized, I can say without hesitation that I'll be moving to Boston this month, to pursue my Masters' in Science Journalism! Background: *screams* woohooooo Therefore, I started writing a list of the things I would have to take. I researched and found no proper packing list which was suitable for students (especially) who are moving to another country. And then it flashed - what if I make a packing list and put it in my blog? *pats self* So, here it is! I wracked my brain and wrote this list which includes stuff for both men and women (mostly women, I must say). Feel free to download it or take a printout and check off the things you have taken. Hope it helps! A couple of things before I sign off - 1) I am a stationery freak, so I included that section. Please ignore it if you don't intend to take any. But I must say that it is better to take the basic stuff, because stationery will obviously be expensive where you're...
